Background :

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is a large, public agency in New York City. NYCHA is committed to increasing opportunities for low- and moderate-income New Yorkers by providing safe, affordable housing and facilitating access to social and community services.

NYCHA’s enterprise applications environment consisted of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 11.5.10 running on Oracle 10g hosted on Sun Solaris servers. Its Financial Management System (FMS) included Oracle General Ledger (GL), Payables/Purchase Orders (AP/PO) and Human Resources (PER).

The Opportunity :

  • Subset and privatize NYCHA’s Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementation of its Financial Management System, including GL, AP/PO and HR modules
  • Provide hardware cost savings by reducing data in test and development instances
  • Privatize sensitive HR and vendor data in test and development instances
  • Reduce build time for new or refreshed test and development instances

The Estuate Solution :

We implemented the IBM Optim Test Data Management (TDM) and Data Privacy (DP) Solutions for Oracle E-Business Suite to:

    • Subset AP/PO transaction data based on a date range using ‘CREATION_DATE’
    • Subset GL transaction data based on a date range using ‘PERIOD_START_DATE’ and ‘PERIOD_END_DATE’
    • Privatize HR and vendor sensitive data elements, particularly names, addresses, email addresses, national identifiers and bank account numbers
