Advanced Levels of Control and Innovative features with Oracle E-Business Suite Implementation Methodology

Our Oracle E-Business Suite Implementation Methodology is divided into the following phases:

Phase I – Business Requirement Analysis Phase

In this phase, the business processes and functions are understood, the product fitment and gaps are identified and the components to be converted/ interfaced are also identified. Setup / configuration documents are also prepared.

Deliverables: As-Is/To-Be process document, Document stating detail data migration and Inbound/Outbound interface requirements, GAP document

Phase II – Business Requirement Mapping

In this phase, based on the information gathered and business processes understanding from the Phase I mapping documents are prepared

Phase III – Oracle e-Business Suite Setup

Based on the Mapping document from Phase II can be utilized for performing configuration/setups of the Oracle e-Business Suite. In this Phase, the various modules mentioned in the scope are set up and high level testing of the modules as well as integration testing is done to see whether the application is running as desired.

Deliverables: Set up documents, System Integration Test cases, Instance Strategy document, Interface and Conversion Strategy documents, Draft custom objects inventory list

Phase IV– Interaction with Users

In this Phase the configured application done in Phase III is demonstrated to the users in the form of a CRP sessions. The users will come up with possible business scenarios to Estuate for understanding the fitment of the modules to business processes, the possible work around and the customizations needed.

Deliverables: Configuration documents and the changes suggested thereof, Finalized Inventory of Customizations, System Integration Test cases document and results, additions /modifications etc

Phase V – Rework and Testing based on CRP sessions

Based on the inputs received from Phase IV, the fine tuning is to be done on the set ups and profile options of the Oracle Application modules and the desired functionality is tested and validated by the users.

Deliverables: Signed off configuration documents, Signed off System Integration Test cases document and results, GOLD instance

Phase VI – Development and Testing

This is the phase where the development of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions) will be carried out. The design and development activity is mostly carried out from offshore and the requirement document and implementation generally happens from onsite. The custom objects developed are tested for its desired functionality, robustness and quality by Estuate functional and technical experts before they are finalized and prepared for delivery .The custom developed objects are promoted from development instance to testing instance for this purpose.

Deliverables: Functional Specs, Technical Specs, Registration documents, Development executable and source codes, Test logs

Phase VII – User Acceptance Testing

This is the phase which starts somewhat in parallel to the Phase VI. In this Phase the key users validates the custom objects /applications developed and ratifies their desired functionality and provide their sign off for the same. After this activity happens a Pre-production instance is created by cloning from GOLD and putting the master data in the system .This is in preparation for the Go-Live activity.

Deliverables: User Manuals for all Custom Extensions like Data Migration routines and Interface Routines, Issue Logs and fixing results, User Signed off documents, End User Training manuals, Pre Prod Instance Creation

Phase VIII – Go Live

In this Phase the production environment is prepared (cloned from Pre-production Environment with the setups and master data), the actual conversion from legacy is done and the various custom objects are installed in the system. The actual transactions are done in this instance and the interfaces are run.

Deliverables: Live Oracle Application System, Finalized Source code of the customizations

Phase IX – Post Go Live Support

In this Phase Estuate provides Oracle application support to client, so that the key user group becomes well versed with the e-Business suite and there is stability in their daily operations.

Deliverables: Issue Logs and fixing results, Stable Oracle Applications System
