Currently, we are looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer to join our team.
Job Description
- Support 24×7 infrastructure monitoring activities as a Junior IT Support Engineer
- Perform monitoring, alert handling, basic analysis, and incident escalation using SolarWinds and IBM AS/400 (iSeries) systems
SolarWinds Monitoring
- Monitor servers, network devices, and applications using SolarWinds dashboards and alerts
- Observe system health metrics such as CPU, memory, disk usage, and uptime
- Acknowledge alerts and perform initial checks
- Create and update incident tickets and escalate issues as per SOP
- Maintain monitoring logs and shift handover notes
AS/400 (IBM iSeries) Monitoring
- Monitor AS/400 system availability, job status, message queues, and subsystems
- Perform routine system health checks
- Identify abnormal behavior and notify senior support teams
- Assist in coordinating issue resolution
Operations Support
- Follow standard operating procedures and escalation matrices
- Work in a shift-based, 24×7 monitoring environment
- Prepare daily monitoring and incident status reports
- Ensure SLA compliance and timely escalation
Skills & Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT operations, NOC, or monitoring support
- Basic understanding of SolarWinds monitoring tools
- Awareness of IBM AS/400 / iSeries concepts such as jobs, queues, and system status
- Basic knowledge of servers, networks, and system monitoring
- Familiarity with ticketing tools
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
- Ability to follow processes and instructions
- Eagerness to learn and grow in IT operations
